Music is essential to Christmas and I think Mannheim Steamroller is essential to Christmas music. My family always listened to Mannheim while decorating the tree and opening presents. My best Mannheim induced memory: my cousin Robert, then a youngin', dancing in his underwear (to 'Deck the Halls')while the family decorated their tree-unaware that he was being videotaped! Everytime I hear it I see his skinny little body...Favorites: Stille Nacht (Silent Night) and Fum, Fum, Fum

I know this is a Christmas blog, but my hubbie found some Manheim Steamroller Halloween music this year! It's seriously so cool and I'm excited for it to become just as much a part of our Halloween traditions as their Christmas music is for Christmas.

My mom's favorite tradition on Christmas Eve is to turn off all the lights except the Christmas Tree lights and listen to Mannhein Steamroller's Silent Night. Everyone has to be quite and think about the Savior's birth. We always make fun of her for doing this, but I actually really look forward to it every year.
